Born in Victoria, British Columbia, Robert Genn was educated at the University of British Columbia and at the Art Centre School in Los Angeles. Recognized as one of Canada's most accomplished painters, he has gained wide recognition on an international scale for his genre of subjects on Canada's West Coast. His work combines the strength, stroke and design of the Group of Seven with his own unique style and colour. He is recognized for his distinctive landscape paintings.
